After 16 years as a Sydney icon, The Rocks Market is being revitalised.
Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority is introducing fresh produce to create the city's premier Farmers' Market, open only to genuine farmers and producers.
The Authority is also introducing a new directional Designers' Market which will showcase fashion, home wares, accessories, artwork and gifts. And the traditional area of The Rocks Market will be devoted to goods, products and services that are unique, authentic, high quality, inspiring, current, contemporary, relevant, customised, and Australian.
The Rocks Farmers' Market will commence trading in February 2008. The revitalised Rocks Market will continue to operate every Saturday and Sunday, from 10am to 5pm, at the northern end of George Street, The Rocks.
