Couple wed on Sydney Harbour Bridge

Fearful one of them might take the adage "Taking the plunge" literally, a Scottish couple wore harnesses as they exchanged wedding vows atop the Sydney Harbour Bridge on Tuesday.

Stephen Tierney, 27, and Claire Tullan, 28, from Glasgow, exchanged tuxedo and wedding gown for more appropriate jumpsuits, given the somewhat unfortunate weather.

Their hair and clothes may have been dampened, though their spirits seemed high. 134 meters above the harbour, to be exact.

Sydney submerged in fog

If you were having trouble seeing your hand in front of your face this morning, you weren’t alone.

Sydney was beset with fog so heavy it closed down Sydney Airport and caused the cancellation of all ferry services on Sydney Harbour this morning, save the Manly Jetcat.

SMH.com.au has some amazing and eerie pictures; well worth a look provided the fog around you has lifted.
