505 is committed to presenting live music and performance from Sydney, Australia and overseas.

Sydney's newest dedicated live music venue is up and running! Join us Monday to Saturday as 505 continues to program the best live Jazz, Roots, Reggae, Funk, Gypsy, Latin, instrumental and vocal entertainment in town.

We are also thrilled to have fellow music organisation Jazzgroove join us, taking up residencies on Tuesday nights.

505 is an artist run performance space which focuses on quality performance, engaging and nurturing community, and supporting original artists. Having run as an 'underground' space between 2004-2009, in 2010 we moved out from the shadows and initiated an exciting new project on the Sydney landscape. Our music venue at 280 Cleveland St Surry Hills is music orientated and 100% performance focused. A space from which to support the local community of inner-city artists/musicians/performers, non-profit groups and audiences. It is our hope that this venue will become a stable home for not only 505 but a number of small arts organisations who have long been displaced into theatres, townhalls, churches and pubs. At the beginning of 2011 we launched our new theatre space at 505/342 Elizabeth St Surry Hills, offering independent theatre practitioners a space to develop and present new work.

Drop by early for dinner or nibble on some snacks as the night rolls along. Our new team in the 505 kitchen are settled in and cooking up a storm. menu! Selections to suit your tastes whatever your wallet size.

505 does not take bookings, doors open at 7.30pm so get here nice and early to snag a good table

505 is available for private functions.
