Woolgoolga Beach Markets


One of the most successful and long-running fundraising ideas that WVSR has had is the monthly market.

It has been so successful that it now has its own registered business name, Woolgoolga Beach Markets. The Market is controlled by a WVSR appointed Market Coordinator, who handles bookings, enforces procedures and supervises the smooth runing of Market days.

The very first market had a total of six stalls, which after a few hiccups and lots of perseverance has now grown to one hundred.

There are clothes, clothing accessories, sunglasses, jewellery, watches, hats, macadamia nuts, CDs, fruit and vegetables, jams, books, plants, fishing rods and equipment, tools, hand crafted goods, bric-a-brac, toys and many more items.

Steak and sausage sandwiches and cold drinks are on sale from the WVSR, meat trays are raffled and live music is performed to give a pleasant, festive atmosphere.

The Market is held on the second Saturday of every month on the reserve adjoining the WVSR headquarters. There is no entry fee for patrons, but pets are not permitted in the reserve by order of Coff's Harbour City Council.
