To and From Sydney Airport

Located in Mascot NSW, Sydney Airport is approximately 8km from the central CBD. Sydney Airport is easily accessible by all modes of transport including car, train, taxi or bus.

All terminals, T1 International, T2 Domestic and T3 Domestic, can be easily found by following signs to the airport - usually displayed by a simple aeroplane symbol.

The State Transit Website – www.131500.com.au – has useful information regarding public transport options, including a trip planner function that will provide you with detailed information on how to get there.

PARKING

Sydney Airport is a designated ‘No Stopping’ area unless otherwise signed. You may not park your car anywhere unless it is signed as a parking area. Public parking is available at both the International (T1) and Domestic Terminals (T2 and T3).

Dropping-off
Domestic (T2 and T3) and International (T1) Terminals

You are permitted to drop-off passengers on the departures level at both the International and Domestic terminals. No pick-ups on the departures roadway are permitted.

Restrictions: You may only stop in these areas to drop-off passengers. You must stop for no more than 2 minutes. Due to security restrictions you are not permitted to leave your vehicle under any circumstances.

We also provide clearly signed disabled passenger drop-off point on the departures roadway. Again drivers must remain with the vehicle at all times. If assistance is required we recommend an additional person attend to assist whilst the driver remains with the car. A 5 minute restriction applies in these areas.

Designated disabled parking spots are also available throughout the Domestic Car Park in positions closest to the terminal or lift areas.

Picking-up

Domestic Terminals ( T2 and T3)

Sydney Airport’s T2 passenger pick-up area is to be relocated from Saturday 26 September to provide more spaces, more free pick-up time and less congestion.

The change will benefit passengers using T2 – the Domestic Terminal used by Virgin Blue, Jetstar, Tiger Airways, Qantaslink, Regional Express (REX) and other regional carriers.

There is no change to drop off arrangements at T2 and no changes to arrangements at T1 (International Terminal) or T3 (Qantas Domestic) – although T3 passengers may elect to use the new facility.

The new T2 passenger pick-up area is located across Keith Smith Avenue. It will provide space for 51 vehicles with a free 10 minute pick-up period. Drivers will be able to leave their vehicles unattended.

Currently the T2 passenger pick-up area is at the front of the terminal. It provides space for just 7 vehicles, operates with a 2 minute pick-up period, and vehicles can not be left unattended. Click here for more details.

A map detailing the new arrangements is available here. T2 New Pick-up Zone (100.55kB)

International Terminal ( T1)

There are no designated pick-up areas at our International Terminal. Anyone wanting to pick-up arriving passengers at T1 must proceed to the International Car Park. This arrangement has been in place since the mid -1990’s.

Clearly signed designated disabled parking spots are available in the International Car Park. In the outdoor areas they are positions closest to the terminal. In the multi story car park proceed to Level 2. Here disabled parking is located closest to the walkway bridge to the terminal.

Important note: It is not permitted to pick-up passengers from the Departures or Arrivals roadway at any time. Attempting to pick-up passengers may result in a Parking Infringement Notice being served.
