Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre


With its prime Sydney waterfront location and world-class facilities, Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre is Australia's largest and most successful venue for conferences, exhibitions and special events.

The purpose built centre opened in 1988 as the centrepiece of Sydney's beautiful Darling Harbour precinct, on the edge of the central business district.

Expanded in 1999, the Centre now boasts more than 30 meeting rooms, including Sydney's largest ballroom, accommodating 1000 guests, a banquet hall and two auditoriums.

With six exhibition halls and more than 30,000 square metres of exhibition space, the Centre is also home to some of Sydney's largest and most prestigious events such as the Sydney Motor Show and the Sydney International Boat Show.

State-of-the-art audio visual and IT facilities enable the Centre to provide important support services for international and corporate events such as electronic voting systems, fibre-optic links ideal for live broadcasts and an on-site broadcast studio and video production team.

The success of conferences and exhibitions at the Centre is ensured by the dedicated efforts of the venue's event management team. Responsible for staging some of Sydney's biggest events, the team works together to fine tune even the smallest details and meet the client's brief.

The Centre's professionalism extends to its cuisine with its high quality, imaginative food earning it an international reputation as a leader in special event catering.
