PHIBS X The Kraken Black Spiced Rum
Calling all streetwear and street art fans..
On Saturday 9th August, for one day only, legendary Sydney street artist PHIBS will join forces with The Kraken Black Spiced Rum and premium apparel brand AS Colour on a live art experience set to blur the lines between street art and streetwear.
Bringing together the raw edge of streetwear and the expressive power of street art, the installation aims to represent a bold intersection of two creative cultures. Kraken's distinctive nautical imagery and mythological storytelling served as the perfect catalyst for this fusion - translating deep-sea legend into a wearable canvas.
Live at AS Colour's Newtown store, Sydneysiders aged 18+ are invited to drop in to the PHIBS x The Kraken Black Spiced Rum experience from 12pm-4pm and receive a free AS Colour t-shirt featuring an exclusive and limited-edition PHIBS design.
The t-shirts will be dropped hourly and will feature a bespoke design by PHIBS - Detail about wall mural and t-shirt design to be added in once confirmed by PHIBS.
From there, attendees can explore the AS Colour courtyard and witness something truly epic - a massive 4m x 5m mural made entirely from blank AS Colour tees, transformed live on the day into one giant artwork, tee by tee.
Live and in action, PHIBS will fuse street art with street style on the unique canvas, bringing The Kraken's legendary lore of the last barrel of rum to life in a one-of-a-kind, mythological-inspired masterpiece.
For those after a fully personalised touch, PHIBS will be tagging tees live, transforming each piece into a raw, one-of-a-kind piece of wearable street art.
Each gifted tee will come with a Kraken Black Spiced Rum & Cola or Kraken Black Spiced Rum & Dry drink, giving attendees a taste of the rum to which the PHIBS installation depicts.
PHIBS, Street Artist: "I've painted on plenty of walls, but turning a bunch of blank tees into one giant mural and tagging individual ones for people to wear feels like something different. The Legend of The Kraken world is so visual, mythological, and full of deep, nautical storytelling. As an artist, working with a brand like The Kraken and being given the license to interpret the legend in my own style was really interesting to explore from a design perspective. It's a chance to bring that story to life in a way people can actually take home and wear."
